1. What made you start reviewing books?

I stumbled upon The Page Flipper's blog (when it was still just a blog) and then Book Chic's MySpace page and experienced divine inspiration. Just kidding. I decided that I could put my love of books to good use and just write my opinion on what I read (free books are also a good incentive). And thus, The Book Muncher was born.

2. What are some of your favorite YA books?Ya Authors?

Well, there are definitely too many to list, but I'll try anyway (skipping the most obvious ones)

Authors: Melissa Walker, Lisa McMann, Cassandra Clare, Melissa Marr, Jody Gehrman, Elizabeth Scott, Catherine Clark, Sarah Beth Durst, Linda Gerber

Books (not including ones by the above authors): I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone, Airhead, Sweethearts, A Little Friendly Advice, How Not to Be Popular, The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks, Sucks to Be Me, When It Happens, Princess Ben, Blue Bloods, The Truth About Forever, The Host, How to Ditch Your Fairy

3. If you were stranded on a island what 5 books would bring and why?

Tough! (of course). They'd have to be books I could reread forever, like The Host and Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, Princess Ben by Catherine Gilbert Murdock, The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen, and How to Ditch Your Fairy by Justine Larbalestier. They're all fantastic stories, most of which I don't have to have another subsequent book to understand :D

4. If you think a book deserves a bad review will you give it one?

Most definitely! I didn't start reviewing to fluff things up. If I don't like a book, I'll say that, but still I will try to point out some of the positive things. I will not overemphasize the good parts of the book if they're really not that important or if the bad parts overpower the bad ones. If other people (authors, readers, etc.) don't like my opinion, they don't have to agree with it.

5. What was your favorite book when you were younger?

I don't really remember, but I do remember that I was a HUGE fan of Nancy Drew. My grandpa would always buy me several Nancy Drew books every time he came to visit, and I think I read over 100 Nancy Drew books during the time of this obsession, and I still own at least 50.

6. Do you see yourself reviewing books in the future?

I hope so! Reviewing is just so fun and fulfilling and just generally enjoyable to do (because of the reading and the people!). I love to read and will probably continue reading until I die, so I might as will review until then, right?

7. What are some of your favorite TV shows?

I am a huge Gossip Girl fan, but my mom didn't let me watch the last few episodes of the first season, having deemed it "bad" (even though she let me watch it before), so I probably won't be watching the second season (though I hear it's good!). So now, I have to wait for my other favorite show, Ugly Betty!

8. What's your favorite vampire book?

Um…I don't know. Either Twilight or Sucks to Be Me. It's a toss-up; I like both (for different reasons of course).

9. Are you anxious for the release of a book? If so, which one?

Yes!! City of Glass (I love Jace!) by Cassandra Clare, Fade by Lisa McMann (I love Cabel! pattern here?), Revelations by Melissa de la Cruz, Invisible Touch by Kelly Parra, The ABC's of Kissing Boys by Tina Ferraro, I Know It's Over by C.K. Kelly Martin. Oh wait, was I only supposed to pick one?

10. Are you in a book club? (It can be online or a club made up of your friends)

We have a literature club at my school started by one of my friends (I'm the treasurer), but we actually haven't done much. Online, I'm part of Readers United.
